Student Blogging can be educational but can also be distracting. Blogging is mostly about widgets, themes, colors, and ect. Those are the things that are distracting. Most people that visit a blog are looking at the background and themes and not what they write or is important.
So overall blogging is not an educational resource to help students learn. It is a way to express a person and what they are like by showing colors and themes.
For the Week 10 Student Blogging Challenge I interviewed a friend of mine about my blog Jeff’s Blog and what he thought about it. He suggested that I add less pictures and widgets to not distract the viewer.
He also said that my pictures were cool and interesting but not to add to many. To view his blog you can go to James’ Blog.
Some interesting blogs to look at are on my blog roll at Jeff’s Blog. Some people on my blog roll are Toby, Eli, Riley, Robert and ect. My favorite blog is Robert’s blog. He has some good pictures and post that are worth reading and watching.
He led me to some blogs that were fantastic. One of them was Anthony’s Blog. Anthony has a lot of flashing colors and lights that surround some great post.
I later found Simons blog that was on Anthony’s blog roll. Simon has great widgets followed by funny pictures like the Easter bunny. The Student Blogging Challenge has led me to people all around the world and showed me some fantastic blogs that is worth my time.
When I was 8 years old I played baseball at the park every day and every week. We had games every Saturday and Wednesday. It turns out that we lost every game of the year. We were 0-18. For the next three years we were in the World Series and won two of them. We were the best team in the league. We even got to ride in a Forth of July Parade on a float.
Baseball has taught me that winning doesn’t matter and what it’s like to be on the loosing end and the winning end in sports. I will always remember what it’s like to win and lose no matter what.
The Best Thing Ever! This is a link to a video that I made on Kerpoof for the week 7 blogging challenge. It is a video with dancing penguins doing whatever! It’s hilarious and really funny! I hope you enjoy it!
Most people that I know don’t enjoy working. It can be dull and boring and most importantly not fun. If you find a job that you enjoy and look forward to everyday it’s not so bad.
My dream job would be to play in the (MLB), Major Leauge Baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The best sport in the world is baseball because you get to throw a ball around and be with your friends. It’s a job that I could do for countless hours a day and not get tired of.
Baseball is a sport that you get paid a lot of money for doing something you love. In Major Leauges you get to travel all over the U.S. and go to amazing places. A job is an important thing because it’s who and where you are going to be everyday.
Water pollution is one of the largest causes of death and disease. It creates death all around the world everyday. I want to be able to help the people in need of good quality water.
Here’s a website to look at with some cool facts and what it’s like for people that don’t get good quality water, Water and Health. If you want to make a difference and help people in need, please visit Blood Water Mission.
Here are some facts that I got from this website called Water and Health.
90% of the world’s diseases are caused by unsafe drinking water.
Every year there are 4 billion cases of diarrhea due to drinking water.
There are 2.2 million deaths from drinking water. That’s equivalent to 20 jumbo jets crashing everyday.
Everyday water related diseases claim the lives of 5,000 children under the age of five.
Are you going to help those in need or are you just going to sit around? Help!
My favorite sport is baseball because you have a chance to do almost anything you want. One reason I like baseball is because you get the chance to hit a ball as far as you can. Another reason why I I like baseball is because I can have a fun time while playing with my friends. Lastly why I like baseball is because it is a great way to relax and forget about all of my worries.
In history we are studying ancient Hebrews so we created a song on what we learned. I made this song with Drew, and Jonathon. Click on the link on the top left corner to listen to the song. Enjoy!
